Follow the Waack is a global three-day dance festival held in Athens νow celebrating its fourth consecutive year. Its mission is to highlight, develop, and empower the waacking community through a rich program featuring dance workshops with guests from Greece and abroad, battles, shows, and performances.

Dancers and artists from all over the world come together to exchange through movement, celebrate, express their uniqueness, and uplift one another—creating a space where diversity is honored and creativity takes center stage.

Waacking is a dance style that emerged in the Los Angeles clubs of the 1970s. Its roots lie in the underground LGBTQ+ community, where dancers used movement as a form of expression, confidence, and a claim to their identity. In waacking, the body becomes the music itself—its story, its melody, its voice. Arm movements, poses, and theatricality serve as storytelling tools through which each dancer conveys their own narrative.
